Author Topic: Questions about RAM  (Read 1137 times)

I am looking to buy some new RAM, and my birthday has past by recently, and my dad still needs to get me a present. I only have two slots for RAM, which right now contain about .5 Gig apiece. I want 4 gigs, so I want to get two sticks both having 2 gigs apiece. At my local Best Buy, I found some for a little under $100, but when I check online I find this, which is quite a bit less than what I was looking at. Is there a reason this is so cheap? Is it not what I am looking for?

:edit: one thing I forgot, I know I need DDR2

Retail stores often have bullstuff prices for their hardware.

Just buy the RAM off of Newegg.

Newegg has no ram for laptops D:<

It doesn't have a lot of ram for laptops.

You're gonna need a 64bit OS to use all 4gb.

My friend has a desktop that goes into the Terabytes.

I think he's talking about his HDD space, which isn't ROM I don't think.

Its funny how so much can be said without answering ones original question.
