is it messing up and erroring halfway through installing? or just when you pop the disk in.

Ok so here is the full story. I place the disk in, it asks for my registration code, I put in the registration code, it accepts it, I agree to terms and conditions, I register the game on EA, the application starts, application suddenly quits, computer says "Please make sure disk is in the drive.", and the game is sitting right there on the desktop. NOW WHAT!

maybe your disk is scratched or just shotty in some way.

Do you know how to fix that? Because it is brand new! With No scratches at all!

everyone has gotten a game or movie or music cd at one time in their life, and it just didn't work. brand new.
its not horribly uncommon. take it back for a replacement one from the store.

hopefully that's the problem.

I hope! But still the macintosh store is a 40 minute car trip, I'm not going to drive all the way there just to replace it. There must be a way!

test it on another computer.
maybe yours just dont wanna run the disk for some reason

Yes, and thanks for your help. I got the game to work. None of you where right, but thanks anyways. For some reason as soon as I downloaded the patch it started to work. I don't see how that has anything to do with the computer not reading the disk but anyways.

Well maybe the patch fixed compatibility issues
