you see, i have a desktop that is no good for playing games and a laptop that is perfect for tons of games, what i want to do is host a dedicated server on the desktop and play on the server with the laptop. can i do that?

Run dedicated.bat in your Blockland folder on the "hosting" computer, and of course play the server on the gaming computer. You may have to hit "Query LAN"

Did you portforward, too?

No, they don't have to be connected.

Just try using the normal list
