What's a good thing to do to learn how to script?

The title says it all. I was thinking that as a first step, I would look at the default Gun script, change it somehow, and see what it does so I can learn to script. Do you think this is a good idea?

Eh, if you're trying to learn scripting guns, yes.

If not, try going on Heedicalking's Scripting Etherpad (found in General Discussion). It's helpful.

Look at some of the saved revisions; they teach you a lot.

Right here Is heeds community scripting.  Check it out, look around.

I have a very simple one that teaches you basic serverCmd here.
Now, I'm not very good at scripting, in fact, I just plain suck.
But I do know serverCmds when it comes to the basic ones.
