Only thing I watch on "SyFy" is Ghost Hunters. It's actually realistic, and not one of those weird ass shows they have now that isn't even science fiction stuff.

So no, I've never seen Doctor Who.

I like the bald guy.

Thanks to this topic, Im going to watch Season 1 again

What I hate about SyFy, aside from the horrible Ebonics spelling of their name, is that they have wrestling....wrestling! Nothing science fiction about that!

Oh man i love this show. I made a model tardis and i got lots of Doctor who Episodes my favorite character(s) are.... The ninth doctor and the tenth and captain jack and The master and Martha and rose and Donna.

I hate that they renamed the chanel to "syfy"
that is like pronounced siphie... just dumb

What's syfy?

The original Dr Who Series was better in different ways, for example they loving DIDN'T STAY ON EARTH THE HOLE GOD DAMN SERIES. Oh wait they went to NEW EARTH and everything revolves around EARTHLINGS. The old one was so epic, aliens races/planets and solving neat puzzles rather then running in circles yelling drama at each other, though I do really love the new one it just doesn't have that Sci-fi feeling of the original.

Also Battlestar Galactica in discussion of Sci-fi, the new and old series are just as good for me.

I'll have to agree. The new Dr Who reminded me a lot of Sliders which dealt with using a TV remote to travel to parallel Earths. Where everything is the same, but there's always some major screwed up difference. Man I miss Sliders. :(

Whoa memory's, I remember seeing that on the TV when I was really young.

I like the time travel. It's interesting seeing some historical events and how The Doctor intertwines with them.
Also, they DO go to other planets. The Library, that one Crystal Planet with the mind control aliens, The Satan Pit...

3 episodes all of which included Humanity and related to Earth. Crystal Planet they were in a Shuttle unable to see outside.

Yeah I'm not saying its all bad, it is interesting seeing the historical events and how Dr who plays with them. Though I really do get sick of MAN-KIND/HUMANITY.

I agree. The whole huge storyline about Earth wasn't amazing, but things like going to old london and talking to ghost-aliens, or shakespere and the witches, the Werewolves, and seeing Agatha Christie were all awesome. I like how he applies science to everything, even magic.
