I'd like to think that being an independant developer and indies being more reasonable people, he would opensource his work if he was abandoning it. But we never know. At least the master server would be nice.
We would be headless chicken regardless.
I think after Badspot decides to either pass away or pass on Blockland, he should put someone in charge.

Wow. I now remember all the No pix no clix before we had the mod bot. I miss those times D:

Man, I started around 0002. I've played through all of Blockland's history a year or so after it started. I was around 8 when i first found out about Blockland when I YouTube'd "Lego". The game is almost unrecognizable from 0002 now.

I started a 2 weeks ago from now.

I started in V8, a lot has changed, USSR was alive, all the clans thrived then died. And then fugly clans came. Now I never go in clan discussion.

From v7's 12 max servers to v12's 40.
No, V1.0, V1.01, V1.02, v1.03, (Numbering system change), v7, v8, v9, v10, v11, v12.

I miss USSR and MotE.
They hosted some pretty neat servers and I enjoyed hanging out there and casually building and talking.
Diggy's DM's were amazing too.

I also remember V8. That's around when I joined.
Brick interactivity was almost non-existant other then Space Guys trap bricks and early events system back then. That's when DMs and challenges were much more popular.

Good times.

Ahhh USSR....
I joined it only because Facechild said I would never be able to get in. xD
When I first started playing Blockland back in v0002, I was scared of the USSR server cause I was like "arn't those the badguys cause the ussr r bad". Twas funny.

It really does make you think. For such a reasonably little amount of time, this game has grown and changed a fair amount.
I first downloaded the game in the middle of V7 and then forgot about it. I then bought the full version about halfway through V8. I didn't even notice the difference at first. It''s changed a lot since those quiet days. Servers were a lot friendlier, even if you were a noob. IMO.

Nowadays it's just amazing how diverse the game is.
You can join a building server and hangout with others while building.
Then join a roleplay server and attempt to gather enough resources to get a sword or something. Afterwards you may want a bit more action and join a zombie server.
If you get tired of that you might want to do some PvP in a TDM/DM server.

I could go on and on about this stuff...

What you can do in this game is virtually limitless. That's why we love it so much. Badspot: +100 respect.

Ahh i remember the good old days in v8, the memories...

No, V1.0, V1.01, V1.02, v1.03, (Numbering system change), v7, v8, v9, v10, v11, v12.
Why do you all think I think that? I joned V7 and I remember the little amount of servers so I used that.

Holy angry fish stuff, I've been here for a LONG time.

Since V7, apparently.

I've technically been playing since Vanilla but never interacted with the community because I couldn't even join any of the internet servers that were up.

It was the February that retail was released during or right after.

I kind of gave up on vanilla because I thought it was too hard to build, having to actually pick up your bricks before you use them, but then came back in March with a "I bet I can do this now! :D" attitude and found that "there's this crazy new version of the game with better graphics and easier building". I was surprised to see that the online play actually worked after I bought it considering it was broken for me in vanilla and stuck around because it was a lot more fun than vanilla.

And that was still before there were really any add-ons. I didn't know there even was an add-on system until I joined a freebuild and found Kaje's stunt plane, and I'm like "OMG! what is that??? can you drive it???"
