Author Topic: How do you get color on models in-game?  (Read 506 times)

Please help. I've had numerous amounts of models I've put in gma e but I can get color on them. Now I know it has to do with putting the color in the .zip folder. I use Blender. Halp pl0x.

Create your textures in blender. Then make png files of each texture. Make sure they are named EXACTLY the same or else they won't work.

Thanks, I'll try that right now.

EDIT: Meh, I still dont get it. Can someone make a tutorial. I havent seen anyone do a tutorial with this in it or just in general for it.

Sorry I don't use blender I use milkshape. I don't know how to add textured in blender I only know how to make them work in-game.

I would like to know how to do this to, i was trying to make an add-on so i could release it.

So basically you need to have a different material in blender with the colours you want. Have the colour seleced in the materials menu then go into the (materials and ramps or something like that) menu, the one with the colour prview with the ball. Look for a part that says something along the lines of Material.001, and rename it to something like blue. Then, in the .zip for the addon, have a 16x16 (preferably, I dunno if it makes a difference) blue.png file. You'll need to do this for all the different colours.
