Author Topic: I need a GIF animator...again.  (Read 1896 times)

Alright folks, I need some recommendations on GIF animators to use.

Requirements:
-Supports transparency
-Previous frame disappears when it changes to the next frame
-Free is preferred, though I will purchase anything that isn't too expensive, even more so if I can try it out first
-Have a good quality outcome
-Ability to use PNGs for frames

I was not satisfied with the following:
Easy GIF AnimatorFree for 20 uses, but outcome quality did not meet my standards
GIMPGood quality, but I couldn't find out how to make it so the previous frame disappears when it changes to the next frame, please share if you know how
Microsoft GIFAnimatorI couldn't find out how to make it so the previous frame disappears when it changes to the next frame
MySpace Animated GIF GeneratorOutcome quality did not meet my standards, limited to 30 frames
CoffeecupCosts money, may consider purchasing
Beneton Movie GIFPotential virus
UnFREEzMust use GIF files for frames

Fire away.

Beneton Movie GIFPotential virus
:<
It doesn't have a virus, and anyways you should have a decent virus protection.

I'm just skeptical is all.

McAfee has blocked a potentially unwanted program (PUP) on your computer. If you do not recognize it, we recommend that you remove the program.

About this Potentially Unwanted Program
Name: Adware-BHO.gen.g (That looks bad to me.)
Location: C:\Users\Jordan\AppData\Local\Temp\nss43B7.tmp\seekapp.dll

Spyware, adware, and other potentially unwanted programs can harm your computer, compromise its security, and damage valuable files.

UnFREEz

New requirement: Must be able to use PNG files. UnFREEz seems to only allow GIF files to be used as frames. I don't want to convert my frames.

Microsoft GIFAnimatorI couldn't find out how to make it so the previous frame disappears when it changes to the next frame

You ctrl+A then in one of those panel things theres a 'restore background'. Click that.

here's one
www.gifworks.com

It's free forever, no sign ups.
Supports Transparency
Sadly, it only takes .gif files....
You can make the .gif any size, then convert it down to 75x75
VERY good quality outcome.

I use this to make my animated avatars, and i highly reccomend it for you.
