What is the "Furry/Anime" Obsession?

Badspot posted a fairly exact post detailing the reason during the last furry handicap outbreak. Furries are hated because most of them flaunt over the idea of being opressed by everyone and being publically victimized, since they're big babies that need attention all the time. The following quote sums up the gits of it:

I'm thinking of changing mine to a furry just to annoy some people.

They use their special interest as a poor excuse for being friends and then go the extra miles necessary to cover false brown townogies to the holocaust and other acts against humanity like Genghis-khan scale mass slaughters. The major fault in their arguments of being unimaginably and impossibly oppressed is that none of them are actually dying, which is most unfortunate (understatement of 2009-2010). It happens often enough for self-divulged furries to be considered public enemy number 1 on most internet commons.

My friend has a fat chick special interest, its creepy as forget.
Its not really a special interest, unless you take it to far.
Furrys are appealing to people because they can become whatever animal they want, its like an animal rp.
But some people take it to the point of adding love to their RP.
Thats when it gets creepy.
