Last week (I would've posted this earlier, but I was on vacation in San Diego this weekend and didn't have time for big-ass posts), this moron named blockmilo started to whine to me in IRC after I banned him.
If I may go into more detail...
Back in August, I permabanned him for asking for admin - which is part of my ban policy, if you ask for admin and I barely/don't know you, you get perma'd. Somebody unbanned him, I don't know who, but I didn't really care as long as he wouldn't do it again. Last week, he joins the server, starts blocking peoples' builds, starts annoying them by running into/hammering/painting them. When he came up to me, I pulled out the banhammer - set to ban - and kicked him out with it. Of course, 60 minutes is so much worse than permanent, so in the next 10 minutes, I receive a few IRC messages from him that are somewhat along the lines of "I think video games are where people can escape reality and not be called f***ing handicaps" (although I did not). This seemed completely irrelevant, so I didn't reply. Then, he starts sending me messages such as "you're mean." I told him that I banned him for being a complete handicap, but he continued to whine to me in IRC. He tried to prove his point by spamming idiotic messages like "You're rude and you have no life," etc. Since he needed help actually trying to flame somebody, he gets his friend SuperMario(numbers) to IRC me saying "You don't know what you got yourself into," and after asking who the forget he was, he says "You know blockmilo?" I said I banned him for being a dumbass, but he started saying things like I'm a dumbass. Of course, he bailed out of the argument within minutes because he couldn't prove a point any better than blockmilo could.
Back IRCing blockmilo, he continues with his handicapped points, and I replied with "Nice try, getting someone else to flame me is pretty pathetic." He didn't know what "flaming" was. I told him to pay attention more, and he said "I don't know because I don't sit on my ass all day like you." I told him to prove his point. He said "Because you know everything," which is a pretty invalid point because I don't really know anyone on the Internet who doesn't. I asked for some other proof, but since he didn't have any, he starts pleading for us to stop fighting, and I told him that he got himself into this stuff. I also started to threaten that he would earn a drama thread. He thought that it meant that people would help him or act like he was a loving celebrity. He also said he would change his name after I explained to him that he was wrong, but I told him that I could give them his BL_ID (which is 11984).
Then, he just starts spamming h's to me endlessly. I typed "You can't prove a point by pointlessly spamming somebody" and up-key spammed it. The little 8-year-old finally ragequit and I haven't seen him on the IRC since.
Instead of waiting out a 60-minute ban, the little asstard managed to get himself perma'd (again) since he proved he couldn't be a normal player.
tl;dr: If you have to ban blockmilo on your server for whatever reason, you might as well just disconnect from the IRC or have your /ignore command ready.
