Question about RTB

I'm extremely confused. From browsing the forums today, I've noticed a bunch of people say things like "RTB is dead" and, apparently theres a wiki that preserves its "memory". Also, why do people refer to it as a separate game?
The latest release on the website is from 2009. Doesen't seem dead.

Am I wrong in thinking that Return to Blockland is just Blockland with added features?

It's probably talking about when retail blockland was first released.

Back in the old beta Blockland RTB used to be a whole different mod for Blockland v0002 (the version of the beta) and it was THE mod for Blockland.

Now it's just an addition to Blockland, it adds things like the IRC In-Game Client and the Mod Manager. Planned features include a Steam-like in-game overlay with a feature called RTB Connect and RTB Gallery.

Ok, thanks for the help. So when someone said that someone with RTB can't connect to retail or something through LAN, thats talking about something ages ago?
