Author Topic: Jazzy Desktop Background [Fixed; now has better AA]  (Read 2216 times)

I dont understand why you cant resize it.

My computer doesnt have a resizing program, only my super college laptop does, and i sent it to get repaired...

You could download a photo editing program yourself and resize it.

It's not like I totally didn't post a resized version that should fit on all computers :(

They're both too big for mine.

My res is 1024x768

Blur does not in any way emulate anti-aliasing. The lines are as jagged as ever, if not more so because you sized the original image up! What you did looks awful and you should be ashamed.

Phew. Good thing I'm not because it's just a picture after all.

fixed it up:

Some of it got cut off, so I edited it.

Do it yourself next time. All you have to do is download an image editing software and hit re-size. It isn't that hard. By now, you would've already been done. Here, I'll even link you to the one I use: http://www.getpaint.net/ Once installed, paste the picture on the canvas, hit image>resize. Done. Congratulations, you've just done something even a 7 year old could do. If you can't even accomplish this, then good luck with your future.

I dislike it.

No AA?

Don't you tell me it's supposed to be like that.
And if it is, I don't like it :/
-snip-
Even if I did agree with that before reading the whole thing--it looks too bland. This is because it's too sharp, at least try to anti-alias a bit more than before, plus, it looks a bit too funky.

I don't really understand by what you mean about, too sharp. Also, if you could provide me a way to anti-alias more in PDN, I'd appreciate it.

PDN
This is your problem.

Sharp means that it lacks anti-aliasing.

loving lol.  You don't have one, we all know that you're 14.

Pick your resolution, make it at (at the very least) 4x that, resize back to selected resolution on Best Quality.

Generally works pretty well, I generally do 1000x1000 if it's a 300x300 image I'm looking for.

Yeah, I just remembered that method after I finished it :P

It looks much better now.  Good job on it, I like this style.

First thing I thought when I saw "AA" was Anti Aircraft.

Then a second later I thought anti aliasing.
