So, me and my friend was playing the Xbox on his account. Before a halo match, A guy made a threat to throw us off live.
We just laughed at him. At that moment we were thrown off of live
We couldnt connect, we waited about 10 minutes, nothing.
So we called support, they asked us like 30 questions then we were told to restore factory defaults.
That let us connect to live again.
discuss :o

I'm thinking some hardware error coincidence.

Probably used a lag switch to knock you off and screw up your ip address. Yeah find his name and report him, anyone claiming to be a microsoft employee is in violation of Xbox live terms of service.

This isn't possible if you're both clients on a server.

Because he said the guy said he was an employee

It could possibly be because they're using this method:

Not really, I was in the same situation, some cigarette said his dad worked for Microsoft and that he could knock me off of live anytime and hack my account, and sure enough he knocked me off using a lag switch and I couldn't connect until I reset my router.
