Author Topic: CTF Bridge Destruction W.I.P.  (Read 2603 times)

OK, so I have been working on this for maybe 30 min to an hour.  I only have the bridge and some landscape done. Feel free to rate x/10 so far, and please constructive critCIAm.






Remember this is a WIP

You should spend more time on it before posting. Perhabs you should make the landscape less blocky, and add some buildings on each side.

I said this was a wip.  And I was already planning on making buildings as bases.

How dose the road burn?

That took you 30 minutes to make?

And how dose the jeep float if thats supose to be water...

What is the stuff around the section of the road that has fell?

And also, you need more solid, and less thin. The bridge has no supports, and a part that has fell in the water cannot float.

Im working on bridge supports.  There more confusing than you think.  And the things around the bridge  are from people trying to get over the bridge or something.

GOD loving DAMNIT ITS A GAME, IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE BASED OFF OF REALITY!

Has potential but doesn't look very good right now.

It DOES have to be based off reality! You don't see games with messed up physics now a days and guess what? If you did you wouldn't buy it so there's your proof, for example a non realistic game would be lets say...World of Warcraft BUT if when you jumped you flew so high up you died, chances are people would get turned off by this, also a better example would be, would you play and buy blockland if when you were to drive in the water you didn't go in but instead floated? Or if you drove on or walked on the ground you sunk in to it? I didn't think so.

God damnit, its fine.  Noone will think about the jeep or bridge part floating.  They'll just hink its any normal god damn TDM.  It my map, so It doesnt have to be complete realism.  And physics, the game is fine with physics, its just the way i put the bridge.  How would I make the bridge stick out of water or be in the water, when the water on BL is a brick.  I am not going tpo have jets enabled for this so what does jumping to high have tio do with anything?

And there is debris holding the jeep up, its not floating.

Don't ask for constructive criticism if your just going to get pissed off when people tell you how bad your build really is.

No section of road would fall off in a perfect square. Remove the stuff hanging from the square, it looks bad and wouldn't be there anyway in real life. If you could just make it less blocky and add some more detail it would like fine. Make the water some sort of transparent color, it will look a lot better. Also, try and get more than 30 minutes into a build before posting pictures of it in the gallery. That would be great, thanks.


Some general constructive criticism to make this better.

1. Supports under road... more debris...
 
2. Things blocking view, maybe make it a little bigger, you want at least full coverage so that from Enemy spawn to your spawn, you cannot shoot them.

3. Bigger, more colors.

It needs more C. and a little more T. and a lot more F. Not to mention more DM

Its a WIP god damnit.
