Not seriously, obviously, but the Russians are scheming to knock an asteroid off course that most likely wont hit us anyway. And this all isn't even happening for about 20 years. Meh, it's sorta news, and I'm bored/can't sleep.

If there aren't any hardware failures and it still doesn't work, we need to figure out a better way to stop potential asteroid impacts. I agree with Nitram, it could just be a test / proof of concept.
