Author Topic: How do I make a dedicated server?  (Read 369 times)

I used to think "Ded" when I first joined was just a typo by the maker of the game, but I found out soon after what it meant. Anyone?

This goes in help. A dedicated server is when you host s server without actually running the game.

I know what a dedicated server is, I just wanted to know how to run one, and I'll move this into Help.

Easy.

Know where the Blockland is located?

Vista: C:\Blockland

XP: C:\Program Files\Blockland

See the batch files for dedicated servers? Double click and you get console, it isn't broken, you made the server. Congrats.

talk("Words"); to talk to people.

setKey("NOT TELLING"); to set your key.

saveBricks("Castle,1,1") for saving bricks. (RTB only)

If your a mac this is how.....

Code: [Select]
1. Go into your blockland folder
2. Double click "dedicated.command" and if you want to make a ded LAN server double click "dedicatedLAN.command"
3. Blockland should come up after a while
4. If you clicked "dedicated.command" make a normal online multiplayer server. If you clicked "dedicatedLAN.command" make a normal LAN server

There you go! Hope it helps and if your not a mac hope it helps other ppl that are macs!
