Camera Help

Well basically I'm in to photography, and need a new camera. I was looking at the Nikon D300, any opinions on that? Or any suggestions for cameras under 550 dollars? Your advice is much appreciated :)

You could either get a Nikon D3000, or a Canon XS
If you're low on money they're pretty good.

hmm, pretty much depends on what you prefer.

So I ordered the Nikon D3000 (which by the way was a typo up above.) Can't wait to get it, I've been taking pictures with my little point and shoot Canon.
