Is it just me or is there an influx of newbies?

I'm not complaining I'm just a bit curious. We're well past the holiday season and unless all of these people are just now discovering the forums or are all alts it would seem like it's a lot of people. From what I've seen there have been no problems with this, aside from a few slightly unintelligible posts/topics. I suppose my question is, what is causing this large influx of new people?

I figured this was a better place to put it rather than GD or off topic. Maybe i should have put it in one of those spots. If a mod feels it would be better off in one of those boards they can move it.

I think that growth of a good game is more exponential than linear. Costumers will tell their friends, who will tell their friends, etc. Also, the more people who buy the game, the more money for advertising Badspot has.
