Also, there's no real-life consequences to being an starfish on the internet.
They are, people just don't tend to notice them, as it seems like the "normal" stream of life, when indeed it was influenced. :o
And its not a matter whether it is directly hurting or helping you. Being an starfish is being an starfish. People should care about others, if they know them or not. The world is probably so screwed up because of the intolerance and hatred people spread to others since someone is different or because they don't know someone. (i.e. Religion, politics, race, country of residence, gender, intelligence, etc.)
