I've had three fish in total (Technically 4, if I include the one I got from the fair, but that died in well under a week). One of them died, possibly due to being overfed.
One of the other two almost died, sort of, when he was slightly overfed too.
He was floating at the top on his side, which it turns out isn't death, but rather constipation.
When fish get constipated, it disturbs whatever it is that keeps them down in the water, so they float to the top, but sidewards. We just cleaned the tank out and put him in a small tank without any food for a little bit. All was fine. :D
Anyways, all 4 were Goldfish, so they're rather simple to look after anyways. :P
