Author Topic: Bot Range.  (Read 513 times)

I've been making something with bots, but my problem is the fact that i can't get them to attack you unless your dirrectly close up infront of them.

Do you know the events to make them attack others without having to be so close?

Something to do with one of the arguements, wandering range. I find I can get em to move and such after getting them to respawn.

You could also try having them sorta patrol between a few areas, thus shooting at anything they come across in the process.

I'd usally do that, but whats happening now is a bots hidding somewhere and will shoot you. However, you litteraly have to stand in front of it to get it to fire.

I know what you mean, I was trying to get the bot to chase me in a Cyber Demon Cat and Mouse type of game but all I could get it to do was wander around it's spawn brick, occasionally shooting at me when I got closer.

Maybe a combination of onplayer touch, then have the bot move to the spot where the player is. Would be annoying, but atleast it would sorta simulate the bot chasing after players.
