I'm just wondering if CCleaner is a better registry cleaner than the other registry cleaners which you have to pay for, and if it really does help improve your computers functioning speed. I'm not getting it for this computer, but for a computer I will get in the future.

I will, when I get a computer thats worth maintaining.

I would be careful when using a registry cleaner. I've noticed no performance boosts from using one, but have on occasion experience some instability issues after the fact.

Using CCleaner purely as a temporary file remover/program uninstaller is my recommendation.

i run it daily for both reg cleaner and normal

I am personally afraid to do anything with my registry. But I'm sure it's a great product and works well.

its not like it wont make backups of your reg's for you.

i always edit and adjust my registries.

It makes backups too? If it does, can you make it so the program only does that, or does it have to clean it in order to make a backup?

it asks if you want a backup before you can even do anything to the registry

Ah, I see. Because I am looking to back up my registry. As I am thinking of installing another OS.
