Author Topic: IRC hack  (Read 1802 times)

Just yesterday i was hacked on IRC. As soon as i joined some bitch named "Link" Said some stuff that looked like console stuff, then it wouldn't let me join IRC, i joined later. Happened again today. And about a year ago, same thing. AND the same son of a bitch took away my IRC name about 2 weeks ago. If you type /kick in irc, you can kick someone, but only admins can. Is link and admin or is there a way to stop him from hacking me?

It's actually a bug where the server notifies you of a connection issue with the IRC server and then disconnects you, and for some reason the RTB IRC interprets this as a private message from "Link" causing everyone to think Link is some serial hacker who goes around throwing people off IRC networks.

But thanks.

Again, I will re-iterate for understanding. "Link" is not a person.

I was about to ask if the IRC could be hacked.

Then I remembered that it's on a computer, and we all know, that if it's on a computer, it's able to be hacked.

I know, another person was freaking out that someone named "Link" was hacking him.

At first I thought link was this error program, then I realised its just some kinda problem of IRC so I just ignored it.

Link is Console, and Console hacked Badspot.
