I do believe in God, but I believe he created this universe in terms of setting up the atoms and stuff to work the way they would that would eventually create everything. The fact that particles can be tracked mathematically means they can be predicted and thus set on specific courses. A hyper-intelligent being would be able to send these particles on their way to make the eventuality that is life fairly easily.
Quantum mechanics provides a randomness to the world. Nothing can safely be said to be predetermined now.
