Is it possible to use zone events with a skiing player or hang gliding one?

None of the zone events work with a skiing player, or a hang gliding one, what it a player when they're hang gliding? Are they a player, bot, vehicle?(they don't seem t be any of the above) Is there any event I can use with them?
