Happens to me. It's the map you're on. It's completely normal. Just a minor glitch.

That usually happens to me when I am further away, not right next to it, but it's normal.

When you have the terrain detail turned down to minimum it may become confused.  Also escape->options->uncheck "Show Hud"->done
