As stated, when you curse that much, people beleive you're angry. You didn't even try to make it look like you were being OK about the situation.
Maybe to you, but when I read it, he came across like he was just letting us know he has a new, temporary ID and he misses his old one. While I believe that ID doesn't really matter, VH most likely figured that people would think he is a lying idiot that was trying to impersonate the original VH.
