Author Topic: Torque script ### POUND  (Read 687 times)

What does the # (pound) in torque script mean?

I'm writing a script, and I ran it through Blockland, and it said it contained syntax (or whatever) errors, and It had pounds in the middle of the script. I checked the script, no pounds. I ran it through again, Pounds. What do the Pounds mean?

It tells you what they're for.. (they surround the error, although it seems to be fairly inaccurate in finding exactly where the error is)

Sorry that a computer can't tell exactly what you want it to do.

?

In general it's just not 100% accurate, that's all I'm trying to say.

It is 100% accurate, the pound symbols surround where the machine realizes that something has gone wrong. It's just very rare that it realizes the error at the exact point that it happens.

Why don't you post the code so someone can see where the error is?

I would, but then you could get the add-on, BEFORE I Release it.   :P

At this point the add-on probably isn't even useful.

Then we can't help you.

If you care that much about your stupid fame, then live with attempting to fix it yourself.

You're skilled at reading!  It should be able to find a syntax error, if it's displaying the wrong line.
