Headset problems

Okay this started today My microphone Only transmits what my Desktop speaker hears

and Yet I can still record a sound file with windows recorder and play it back over my desktop speakers and then my friend can hear it this is a headset the speakers on it aren't playing any sound anyone know what the correct Sound device Settings are

Control panel > Sound > Recording > Right Click, show disabled devices > Headset/microphone ?

it's not disabled cause it works on recorder programs it just won't transmit the microphone pickup only what my speakers pick up
