decal help: picture will not show up

In Paint.net, I took a pic and erased the parts I didn't need. I resized it and saved it as a .png. If I load it into Blockland, the thumbnail shows up in the choices but when I choose it, it shows the default decal. Am I doing anything wrong?

I'm sorry to say, but that would not be accepted as a decal. It's been copy/pasted, then edited.
