Edit: Steam automaticly installs DirectX for you but it still doesn't work

DirectX 10 comes installed with Vista. What's the specific error message you're getting?

Well, for MW2 it says my video card is not supported.
And for my other games it will just say as example for Unreal Tournament: "UT3 has stopped working"
And Steam keeps installing DirectX for all the games the require it even though I've downloaded it before.

Your video card is too old and probably doesn't support directx9, if that's the case.
