Author Topic: Weird problem with the draw distance v15  (Read 1140 times)

Hello:
I have a problem with the v15 version of blockland; when i try to increase the draw distance with the mission editor it does nothing ! (i've tried increasing the fog distance too but the same :( ) and when i'm in the mission editor menu, the build starts to dissapear like the draw distance is being decreased automatically until i see nothing, and when i quit the menu the build starts appearing again. I hadn't had this problem with v13.

its an auto ajustment feature in v15 for if the fps rate is lowering than so does the draw distance you can turn this off in the option menu

Turn off automatic draw distance adjustment in advanced options!


Thanks for the help. But in advanced options in v15 it says max draw distance instead of draw distance, and is set at max 1000. But if in mission editor i change it to 2000 it's still at 1000, is there a console command for this ?

Yeah, but the problem now is that in options, instead of draw distance (like the previous versions) now it is max draw distance, and is set to 1000 (max). So in mission editor when i change it to 2000 it is still at 1000, that's the problem.

The new draw distance is unfair to low-end computer owners.
If it was a fraction of the visibleDistance, I could just change the map's visibleDistance and people can still see decently with 100%. My computer can't handle a draw distance of 110, I wish it was still at percentages.

I understand that this helps people who want a set distance to see, but it doesn't help us.

But that's a problem with v15. If my computer can handle 128k bricks at 2000 draw distance, why i have to see it at 1000 ? i cannot see the whole build :(

Because the max draw distance allowed is 1000.

That why i still have v13. Because updates are not always good.
