Everyone who suggests predownloading tons of addons as a fix to this spammy clusterforget should just kiss my ass right now.

I think there needs to be a limit to addons. Like 20 max
It would at least encourage modders to make higher quality addons "packs" and we can have a better system of standards.

I actually think that addon limit/datablock limit should be higher
Just get RTB and with content downloading you will get most mods fast
Download All Packs and Toplist etc, and get some good forum addons(weapons like l4d2 and vehicles etc)

Hey, guess what?
Not every add-on in Blockland is on RTB and the downloading from servers on join requires the server to have a good host, the problem is not every add-on has been graced to be fixed and re-uploaded to RTB by it's original creator so that the consumer does not have to wait half an hour to join a freebuild or a simple DM.

I personally would like to see v16 delete all add-ons upon install and only accept add-ons that are function-able with RTB, unfortunately the implications this would imply are too great for me to bother pursuing it as a dream

No no no no no. This does seem like a good idea at first glance but would end up fukin sucking in the end. Only have 20 addons would enable you to have like 2 cars, 10 guns, and maybe a few mods...just plane no. I do think that when add-ons are failed users that have them downloaded should be told or something so they can get rid of them.
