This is a question I've been wanting to ask for a long time but I thought I would get flamed.
Oh well!
This is a question about putting prints on top off prints.
When I put a brick or a print brick on top of another print brick it says the error "Float".
Can someone tell me if this is a mistake or this is supposed to happen.

It's supposed to happen.
Bricks are only supposed to stack when the top surface is actually a brick like real life.
If you tried it in real life, it wouldn't stay therefore it doesn't work in this game.

It's intentionally the same way with road bricks.
