lots of users are on vacation and such (it IS summer after all) so generally it would be normal that posting seems a tad slower lately

Your posts probably suck so no one replies.  Last month the forum averaged one post every 20 seconds.

Yeah, and some users even have jobs, so posting would be extra slow during those times

Not to mention time zones. A large majority of the forum's members are American, so their time zone could mean that if you live in say, east Europe, you'd find that other member's are perhaps at night time in their time zone, so those members wouldn't be active as they're asleep or whatnot or vice versa.
