That's only for certain routers. If you can't host still and you tried hosting, then you can't host without port forwarding.

There is no "how". It's only the matter if your router "can". And just try it out to find out if it can.

As tha man234 said, only some routers can host server without Port Forwarding. If you do not have a Router you can start hosting right away, no need for Port Forwarding.
