Author Topic: Help with turret actions in Blender  (Read 2034 times)

I am currently in the process of recreating the B-17 bomber on Blender.  My next goal on this model is to work on the turret on the bottom of it's nose.  What I want to know is how to make a seat with the ability to fire from a turret below the seat and how I go about doing so.  The turret must be able to spin along the Z axis and the guns should rotate inside the turret along the X axis.  Please no flaming and only can people who actually use Blender answer.  I will try any suggestions mentioned.

Not exactly the B-17, which I want to make, I just need help with the turret action.  Take for example Heedicalking's AA-turret.  How would I go about rigging my turret's twin barrels so that there is a limit to how far the barrels are able to move along the X axis.  Also what scripts, if any, do I need to place a seat in that will inturn use the turret.
