I'm not disagreeing that some cases of diabetes aren't reversable. I know that people that are overweight can get diabetes, and it can be reversed through hard labor and healthy eating habits, but some people can get it at birth, like Bret Michaels.

First of all there are two types of diabetes. Type 1 diabetes which is completely genetic and there is absolutely no way of avoiding it. Then you have type 2 diabetes which  is attributed to insulin resistance mostly. Insulin resistance is almost always result of being overweight , however sometimes it is do to genetics.

My mom had a stroke once... I didn't know what happened until later on I just knew she was crying and had to go to the hospital.

Screw the cancer. I had a freind who died from bone cancer, lost his leg, then died. My grandfather, died from lung cancer, asbestos related from work. No closure. But your dad? Man, thats sad. :(
