I've tried every flatshading tuturial i could find and my model still comes out smoothshaded. can somebody
PLEASE
lend me a hand and flatshade it?

Its a model of a mailtruck i recently made.

Do you use blender or milkshape? If Milkshape:
The process is incredibly simple. Edit: Select All. Vertex: Unweld. Groups tap, Uncheck Autosmooth. Vertex: Weld Together. Check Autosmooth.
I know you didn't ask for a tutorial, but, if you cannot do this, you honestly should not be modeling.

i've done that numerous times in the exact order, but it still comes out wrong.

I use a couple methods. Check Auto Smooth, Unweld, Uncheck Auto Smooth, Weld Together, Tile Texture Mapper: Planar: OK.
Ckeck Auto Smooth, Unweld, Tile Texture Mapper: Cubic: OK, Uncheck Auto Smooth, Weld Together.
