Author Topic: Lectro - your rule is stupid  (Read 2117 times)

With the trench mod, you're not supposed to take loads of time building an elaborate base. If it was, the bricks wouldn't be removable.

He's an idiot in all servers.

So for a while, my friend had this friend called lectro. When I first saw him, he was a defiant jerk. At least, if it was me. He obeyed the host like a dog and when I told him to do something he would start whining and being stupid.

Still is stupid.

Always will be stupid.

Anyways, lately, I'd been cohosting his trench ctf, and The Talker (Host) would ask me if I'd be okay with Lecrto coming. I'd say yes, because I'd think I wouldn't mind him or could put up with him.
I was wrong.

I had recently added a rule on destroying other people's things, of course it was because it was annoying everyone, and started to enforce it more, lecro started saying how it wasn't fair and how it was so stupid of a rule. He then said he was going to his server because it was better than that one. His way of ragequitting.

Discuss this wonderful character.
Dumber than a goldfish.

I don't really think the point is whether the host should have made this rule, I think the point is that it was made, and that people on the server should follow it.

The failure is less with Lectro's character and more with the nature of Trench Wars in general.  They are difficult to regulate.  Some try the whole "no-killing-builders" rule but that is defeated when players walk out with their lights and and kill other team members.  Others try to instate "no-destroying-others'-builds" but it happens.  You cannot keep an eye on everyone at once.  My experience is that you should just let people do what they're going to do anyways when you're not looking.  Let them try and make their own rules.

It's a Trench War.  Teams need to work together with some providing defense while others dig.  But more on topic, Lectro is handicapped for thinking that he is special when it comes to server rules.  "Oh this is stupid so I don't have to comply."  No, it doesn't work that way.

You making forts and walls is a tactical disadvantage to my team trying to get in. I'll help my team by taking apart any enemy builds or builders in my way.
I've seen you.
It was horbel.

Here are the rules in The Talker's server.
Builders have their lights on. Holding a weapon with a light deems this invalid.
Don't destroy enemy's buildings.
It's not that hard to follow. Anyways, if lectro can't follow any rule, he shouldn't be on most servers.
