Author Topic: Hallowing out a Barrel  (Read 967 times)

I need some help with Blender. Ive been told to hallow out the berrels. I was wondering how you do this? I havent had very much luck, So if anyone could tell me how to do it on an 8 sided Cylinder that would be great
If you need a pic tell me.

Does Blender have extruding, like milkshape?

I'm pretty sure it does. A picture would be extremely helpful. =)

Yes it does have extruding.  And heres a picture, and I put the barrel under edit mode.

Select the vertices at the end of the barrel you currently have.

Press E and then extrude>Region then size it down to how big you want the whole to be.

The press E again then extrude>Region and then extrude backwards into the gun.

So i hallowed it out, But then i ran into a problem, I think.  The barrel stopped were it intersected with the other object. Is it deep enough or is there a way i can make it go deeper?

That's as deep as it goes

It really doesn't matter. As long as it's hallowed. And that looks hallowed to me. =)

woah, either its just the way the picture is, or you gotta put that gun on a diet... geeeez

What happened to "Hollowed" in the English language!
