Author Topic: Now I can't play it at all. Crashes on startup.  (Read 763 times)

So instead of having slow gameplay, Blockland will no longer load to the main menu. It crashes after "Engine initialized..." in the console.
Does the same with a brand new installation, so re-installing it does not help.

And that's where the console log stops.

Perhaps a bad addon?
Or did you remove addons with the installation?

Removed them.

1. Delete all blockland files you have previously downloaded.
2. Redownload.

Also tried that, still does the same thing.

1.Uninstall Blockland
2.go to run and type in   regedit.exe

Then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Then to SOFTWARE
Then Find Blockland and Delete That Folder

3.Reinstall Blockland

That didn't work.

then your computer sucks, or you just not doing it right. Either way your pretty much screwed.

Did you install openGL? Or did you just take the fully installed version from your xp instalation and just put it back on your computer?

Try using the .zip version.

Try using the .zip version.
There's no Windows .zip version.

You... can't really do that. OpenGL is auto-installed with video card drivers, I believe.

There's no Windows .zip version.

Wait, try this:
1.) UnInstall BL
2.) Install using windows version
3.) Extract all files except the .dmg from the zip
4.) Attempt

If failed:
1.) Go to the folder
2.) Right Click Blockland.Exe
3.) Properties
4.) If it's "Read-Only" uncheck Read-Only
5.) Repeat 3-5 for OpenAL32.dll

Thats all I can think of

Huh, it started working all of a sudden after my computer restarted.
Thanks for the ideas anyways.
