Considering these topics don't usually get brought up in real-life when there is enough time and people for a discussion like this, that's pretty much saying you don't participate in debates at all, even though you just posted here.

I wouldn't consider it a debate just yet.

I think these topics do actually show up every once in a while with my friends and I.

Atheism is not believing that no gods exist, it's not believing that gods exist.

To put it more clearly; It's the absence of a belief, not the belief of an absence.
