How do I open .BLS files?

I downloaded them from map and I cant open them and I have windows vista.... HELP!!!

You need to:

-Select the file, press ctrl+C
-Go to C:\Blockland\saves
-Open the folder for your map that you downloaded
-Press ctrl+V to place the file inside the folder
-start a game with the map. You will now see the save in the load bricks menu.

Tell me if you actually wanted to edit the save file, not use it BL.

if you wish to open it, just open it with notepad, although that won't enable you to use it ingame, you must do what greek said to use it with BL
