the original reason was to keep the government away from the church not the church away from the government cause they didn't want them to have all the power that's one of the main reasons settlers left England right?

i was referring to how ignorant people of faith are, and to have them represent us in government is dangerous.

church and state were bad for each other. the country was founded to have freedom of both. neither one was to blame for euro-failure.
just having them together was dangerous.
although they got their stuff together during the next 200 years anyways. little slow, but hey you know them.
