At the very least, I think all games should come with some kind of benchmark that you can download for free. Nothing like buying a game you find out you can't run.

Exactly! I need to see if my computer can run New Vegas well before buying it. I am not spending 50 dollars of my own money only to find out I can't play it.

I think it would be nice if you could, in essence, "give" a copy of a game you never play to a friend. As long as that friend can't give the game back (i.e. two people could pass a game back and forth and both play it while only owning one copy) I don't see why this'd be a problem.

They can't do that, it's even said in their gifting FAQ it violates some copyright or some bullstuff like that.

I know. It says I can run it, but it isn't the most accurate thing. It always fails my graphics card, even though it passes everything in the sub-section. And it said I couldn't play combat arms (lol) but I was able to on high graphics options at 40 fps.

No.

Exhibit A:
I wouldn't trust System Requirements Lab too much. It says I fail the minimum requirements for Dead Rising 2 because my CPU is 300MHz too slow, even though I more than pass every other area. Not to mention I play it on maximum setting without a problem.

Exhibit B:

This is unacceptable. Absolute low settings.

16?!

what

And before you say it, it's not that my computer is bad.

Only use SRL to get a general idea on the requirements of the game.

so for all the more money they must pour into extra servers and bandwidth to handle the traffic of renting, they make back the menial 2 dollars a use?
games cost 60 dollars.
