One of my favorite games just broke

Well, I'm loading Scavenge on the milltown, but on the loading screen, there is no background (wall or poster), the achievement pictures are not there, and it doesn't not appear to be loading, even though the little 4 is moving.

I also remember that once before, when I was playing earlier, this happened, along with a Jockey being on fire, but emitting the Jimmy Gibbs poster instead of fire.

I hope this game isn't broken permanently.
And if it is, is there anyway to get a refund? (got it at gamestop)

But ALL THE TEXTURES ARE forgetED UP.
The medpacks look like what newspaper looks like when you look at it under the microscope. The same with the crowbars, and the Skybox, and the sun.

Thwe HUD is gone, the roof in the hotel is forgeted up, the blood on your screen is forgeted up, basically, the textures are stuff. I'm afraid to put in another one of my games because I think that the scratch was made by the console itself.I don't know what to do.
Help me please.

yeah the discs are more prone to scratching if your xbox is vertical.

you could try getting it professionally resurfaced, try phoning gamestop/whatever store you went to and see if they offer that.

Well, just got through the Hotel.
The fire looks like tree branches, the guns look like they shoot water, and the kitchen in the hotel is basically has a psychedelic look.
I am sooooooo loving mad right now.

Well, I found out what happened. When I was playing earlier, I accidentally tipped my 360 to where it was leaning on the tvstand next to it. and that, according to surfing Google for 15 minutes, scratches the disc in a circular fashion.

My dad will try to grind it down, but I'm skeptical of the process because we havn't done it on any console game, only PC games and movies. He might buy me a new copy if I can hold out for a while.
