Anyway, if you overwrote the save, then yeah it's gone. Ephi made an add-on called "Save Saver" for mistakes like this, but you can't recover the old one if you overwrote it without this.

Have you confirmed that Save Saver was working? Does it work now if you make a test save and overwrite it?
