Mocheeze is the first user to buy retail I'm pretty certain.

And my limited experience with him on his server leads me to believe he is a cool bro.
As stated before, this is only a novelty thing.  I would use this once, maybe twice, just to see it.  But I prefer a windowed screen with the forums up in the background.

with my gigantic monitor, i just use windowed mode because fullscreen always looks dumb and overall overwhelming.

i would prefer an SMF addon that when people host servers; it would automatically place an "online" decal by your forum avatar and in your forum profile, and a "join this player" button that would launch you into the game as well.

but forum software addons is a badspot thing. i dont think he would be into that.

what about editing your profile image? it just puts a little green/red circle over top of the old image somewhere (in the same place so that when it changes, you don't see the old circle)
