Animated GIFs only move when my mouse moves?

What the hell? Is anyone else getting this?
I made a new avatar in photoshop, just a christmas edit of the old one, but for me, it only animates when I move the mouse. Is anyone else getting this? I don't even know why it's doing this
Edit: It's happening to every gif. Not just my avatar.

Something like that happened to my brother.

A video would only play if he were moving the mouse.

Unknown cause and solution. It just stopped happening after a while.

Derp de derp. Restarted firefox and closed potatoshop. It works now.
I'm going to guess it was potatoshop. Locking.
